Pro Kabaddi 2018 Match 15: Patna Pirates versus UP Yoddhas
The fifteenth match of Pro Kabaddi 2018 did not seem to favour the UP Yoddhas. They went up against the Patna Pirates. Their last match was a disaster in defence. This one was no different. They lost this match as well. This was their third consecutive loss this season.
The scoreboard showed the score of 37-43. Their defence was to blame for this loss. They managed to score only 6 tackle points. They went into the match with 5 defenders and 2 raiders. Prashant Kumar Rai was dropped out of the starting 7.
The 2 raiders included the captain, Rishank Devadiga and Shrikant Jadhav. They displayed an awesome raiding performance to score a total of 28 raid points. The young Shrikant also gave a smashing performance. He has rightfully won a place among the top raiders of the Yoddhas.
The Yoddha coaches and management need to figure out a plan soon. They either need to find a better set of defenders or make the raiding department stronger. They must compensate for their weak defence.
On the other hand, the Pirates gave an extraordinary performance. They put in an all-round effort to secure the match. Both of Patna’s key raiders scored a Super-10. Pardeep Narwal scored 14 points. Deepak Narwal scored 10 points. The young Manjeet came off the bench and contributed 3 points to the team effort. These 3 points were very important. That is because it was earned at a crucial juncture of the Pro Kabaddi 2018 match. The Pirates were facing the threat of an all-out.
The great decision to include Vijay in the starting 7 played a key role in securing the match for the Titans. He contributed 2 raid points and 3 tackle points.
The Pirates will take on the Telegu Titans in their next Pro Kabaddi 2018 match. The Yoddhas will go against the Bengal Warriors. They really need to step up their game. It is going to be a desperate match for UP.
